Building on our work with saffron, we have developed, in collaboration with a French laboratory, a range of extracts designed to harness its active compounds for nutraceutical and cosmetic applications.
We currently offer a certified organic hydroalcoholic extract made from saffron stigmas sourced from our own crops. This extraction process concentrates saffron’s active compounds, particularly safranal, resulting in an ingredient suitable for nutraceutical formulations.

We have also developed ZereZar, a COSMOS-standard certified glycerin-based extract combining our saffron and barberry, both grown in the same regions of Iran.
This combination brings together complementary botanical profiles rich in antioxidant compounds.
ZereZar is produced using a carefully controlled extraction process designed to concentrate and stabilise the natural active compounds.
Its formulation is based on a complex of two botanical extracts in a glycerin carrier, allowing for easy incorporation into cosmetic formulations.
Testing has demonstrated overall antioxidant activity, validated using recognised methods such as DPPH and TEAC-ABTS assays.
This dual action helps effectively target processes associated with cellular ageing and external environmental stressors. ZereZar is therefore particularly well suited to cosmetic formulations designed to protect the skin, help prevent signs of skin ageing and maintain its integrity.
Thanks to its profile, ZereZar can be incorporated into a variety of products, including day creams, after-sun products and anti-ageing formulations, with a typical recommended use level of between 0.6% and 1.5%.
